What's Old is New Again

Waste Not Avenue - (BTT) While some attempts to save the planet seem a little out there, others just make perfect sense. The Brown Brick Recycle Plant has been turning our refuse into useful, wanted goods for years, long before "going green" became the fashionable thing to do. A quick tour of the factory floor shows every step of the process, from initial scrap to finished brick, while the building itself is environmentally friendly with its ample windows and well-insulated masonry.

Nearly Gears

Widget Valley - (BTT) Not to be confused with a certain defunct Saturday Night Live sketch, Chuck's Sprockets have been in the manufacturing business for 60 years now. If you ever find yourself wanting something with the look of a gear but the functionality of a pulley (and honestly, who hasn't?), Chuck's got you covered.

Industrial Way - (BTT) Storing wine, shooting fish, throwing at pesky plumbers - there really are no limits to what a good barrel can do. Thankfully the folks at Barnard's have you covered, producing the versatile oak and iron vessels to a variety of clients.

Industrial Building

There's something about factories and industrial buildings that I just find intriguing. I guess it is just all the different components that go into making one work or just the shear power that seems to resonate from them. Perhaps it is the culmination of raw materials, logistics, and the facility itself that go into making the products that I find so interesting. Regardless, I don't see many factory models too often, so this caught my eye immediately. What I like best about this particular model is the restriction to a simple three-color scheme meshed with varying heights in the structure itself. It turned out remarkably well. Great job Luky1987!

Factory

Jonderqind has packed in some awsome detail in this factory. I particularly like the windows and the tower. The white recessed under the windows also caught my eye. Check out some more pictures here.
