Blue Townhouse

From my Flickr Photostream:

Here's a picture of the Blue Townhouse I'm currently working on. It has yet to have its interior completed.

Enjoy!

Recent Creation Round-Up

It looks like many builders are taking advantage of holiday vacation time to finish off and publish models. Here are some highlights I've seen recently (apologies for the sizes being so disparate, but this was taking long enough already and I think you can still see enough of each building in each photo):

Christmas Carolers

from Nate King's BrickShelf Gallery and flickr photostream - a festive scene with a building, some carolers, and another minifig that I'm pretty sure is supposed to be Scrooge.

New BrickJournal Magazine Out

If anyone reading this doesn't know about BrickJournal Magazine, now is a good time to catch up - my latest issue just came in the mail and it has several features of interest to town fans. There are building instructions for a Christmas chimney scene and no less than 5 articles on HKLUG's famous Olympic Village layout. Their ongoing series on AFFOLS (Adult Female Fans Of LEGO) is featuring a town fan who is clearly inspired by the modular style (and her interiors are fantastic).

I (personally) would recommend the magazine anyway, but I thought I'd mention it here because of the unusual amount of articles of interest to town fans in this particular issue. If you want the Christmas building instructions before the big day, you can download a digital copy of the magazine on the publisher's website or check to see if a local bookstore carries BrickJournal.

While we're on the topic, if you're interested in finding out about LEGO events near you, you can check out the BrickJournal Calendar. Most events feature at least one town/train layout of some sort. I post all events that I hear about on there, and so do a variety of other people who follow LEGO-related news closely.

The Silver Lining and More by Morgan190

from Morgan190's flickr photostream.

This builder's been stockpiling good creations and just posted a bunch at once. There is a whole "flickr collection" of town MOCs. I've gone ahead and posted one photo of each so far on the blog here, and made each photo a link to the flickr set - just click the pictures here to go to more photos of each building.
