Preview.

Here, finally are two pictures from the loft. One is of the table that I built. Messy isn't it (that's not what my display will look like - honest). The other is of a part of a building I'm making. I have made the ground floor of three other buildings (I will post them when I'm happy with them).

'Actually Richard, I can tell you a little bit about a cool project I'm working on. I'm building a 48x48 Town Hall which will fit into the modular building system. The only reason I can tell you that is because it will not be a set for release. Instead, it will be the centerpiece for a huge modular building display that will be at 1000steineland later this month. Keep your eyes open for pictures. It should be quite an amazing spectacle.

Oh, and Happy Birthday LEGO. The company turned 75 today.

At Last.

I finally did some building today! I was supposed to paint a wall, but I couldn't contain myself any longer. I have to say, having the plan has focussed my ideas - I know how many models I need, what sort and how big they need to be. I've been thinking of making a video of the whole experience as I'm sort of at the beginning.

Thank you for all the messages about my drawing. LEGO got me interested in Architecture, so I worked hard at my drawing - I didn't become an architect, but I took Art & Design as my main subject whilst training to be a teacher.

Just Some Ideas

Just some ideas. The table I built is big enough (apart from the pier section). I'm guessing it would take me years to complete.

Dream

I had this wonderful dream last night. I think it was because I managed to get some quality time in the loft before I went to bed. I was lucky enough to get some carpet tiles from work and some metal table legs for free. I went to B & Q and got some chip board and I've made myself a large table for my layout. Whilst in B & Q I noticed that the carpet tiles are £1.98 each - which cheered me up a lot. I've still got about two days worth of clearing up and painting I think before I can get back to building models (at last). I'm desperate to post some pictures of my MOCs, as I haven't built anything of my own for months.
