Leaves Fall in Paris

I've seen a lot of Paris related creations, and they've been terrific. The latest, by Brickshelf user Alibabo, depicts a subtle autumn scene in Paris complete with a park and bus stop. The balance in colors is really nice and the worn down sidewalk creates a great sense of realism to the model.

I'm sure you always wanted to buy that $1200 dinner table set. Well now you can with the new furniture store in town. The old town style is really nice on this model, particularly with the large windows that are used. Looks like some recycled Green Grocer if you ask me!

A Much Deserved Thanks...

The West Just Got Settled!

The old-fashioned look is well brought out in this layout. It makes me happy to see a  western-themed model again. Plus, you know it's an awesome model when you see a fence made out of droid legs and arms.

Park and Cafe by stefauster

Another great creation by the guy that built the garage. The courtyard feel is well achieved in this creation and the first floor cafe area is really nice, especially with those dark orange pillars.

I'm not sure what's cooler. The the cursive "L" or the fantastic window design below it. A very ornate, art-deco style building. Superb job!

RedBubble T-Shirt Winners!

The winners of the RedBubble T-Shirt contest have finally be picked, and here they are!

Our first winner is L@go, who built an amazing scooter dealer and headquarters for the widely known Octan Gas. Along with having a fantastic exterior, the interior is just as awesome.Head on over to Flickr to see the rest of his creation!

And our second winner is none other than BrickCityDepot (or Brian Lyles of MOCpages.) His entry is a set of houses modeled after a pair in Richmond, Virginia. The gabled dormers are about as good as you're gonna get and the eloquent design of each with their bay windows, steep sloped roofs, and traditional porches are terrific. And last but not least is the Apartment Building by Jason Spears. You always have to appreciate what a builder can do with a limited amount of pieces, and in this case, tan bricks. It's so easy to see this scrunched in between two other buildings in the heart of a big city, and I really like the "bricked" up effect of some of the windows. This is probably one of the best built homes I've ever seen. The west coast style (at least that's how I see it) is very unique. The curves and angles on this home are top notch. Awesome job on this!
