They lack all the beautiful details. I'd definetely make some major changes with them if I was building a town layout. By the way I don't understand out-of-the-box-afols, it's against the meaning of Lego. Well, I wouldn't dare to remove the Cafe Corner & Market street. But that's just an exception.
